American Paint Recyclers is a latex paint disposal, recycling, and sales company based in Middle Point, Ohio.  Founded in 2012 by two brothers in the local area, APR prides itself in providing exceptional value to its customers and saving thousands of gallons of unused latex paint from Ohio’s landfills and waterways each year.

EcoTone Paint by American Paint Recyclers is the company’s signature line of quality recycled paint sold exclusively at Habitat for Humanity ReStore locations at a fraction of the price of traditional virgin paints.

 

Manufacturing More Than Just Green Paint!

Unused latex paint arrives at the Middle Point facility by semi truck load from all across Ohio.  After the trucks are unloaded, members of the APR team sort the paint cans by color and verify only water-based latex paints are promoted to the next stage of the process.  Each paint can is opened and inspected for color, odor, and consistency and filtered into 275 gallon bulk containers. Next, the bulk containers of latex paint are moved to the blending stage where conditioners are added and the paint is blended by a high-speed industrial dispersion mixer.  The paint is filtered twice more and a final quality check is performed.  The paint is assigned a batch number and each can is given a color swatch before being packaged and shipped to a Habitat for Humanity ReStore Location near you!
